Study #9 and #11

Corduroy Studies

These original pieces consists of individual pigment prints of freshly groomed snow, also known as corduroy. The images are arranged, individually float mounted and placed just so. The individual images were all shot early in the morning at a ski resort before the rush of skiers arrived. Together these images create movement where none exists.  All images are printed on cotton rag with archival inks. Images shown here on the website are likenesses to the final work. I forgot to photograph before they were framed.
